From Bradley Mitchell, your Guide to Computer Networking
There are likely thousands of computer hackers around the world looking to break into your network and steal your personal information, or at least make sure you have a really bad day. If you've never been hacked, you have one more thing to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving week in the U.S.

READERS RESPOND: Wireless Security Hacks and Horror Stories
Have you been the victim of a hacker who compromised your wireless network? We've created a new place on the site today for our readers to share their experiences. You may be the first to get your comment into our queue if you act quickly. Unfortunately, it's likely this page will fill up soon.

10 Tips for Wireless Network Security
Here are ten things you can consider doing on your wireless network to stay safer. There's no such thing as a perfectly secure network, but getting familiar with most of the available protection methods is a good start.

Tracking Suspicious IP Addresses via DNS Blacklists
A DNS blacklist (DNSBL) is a database that contains the IP addresses of malicious hosts on the Internet. DNS blacklists help you to determine whether message senders may be spammers or hackers. You can also report spam and suspicious addresses to a DNSBL for the benefit of others on the Internet.

Free Proxy Server Lists
Internet proxy servers allow you to (mostly) hide your home IP address and navigate anonymously. If you are interested in using anonymous proxies, you should maintain a free proxy server list on your home network.
